JULY - The good and the bad. Current mood: drained
So many things have been going on this month! I guess I could go as far back as Mike and Jenn's wedding on the 24th of June, right after I got back from my family trip to Port Orford, Oregon. The trip with my family was really good...a little rough in the beginning and ending (a 15-18 hour drive is hard on any family in a car for that long)! But I went horseback riding on the beach for the very first time ever and it was great! I officially love riding horses now!

We got back late Saturday night and then Glenn and I went to Mike and Jenn's wedding which was absolutely beautiful! That was the beginning of wedding season for Glenn and I.
The next weekend was the first of July and free and clear of anything happening, except the fact that Glenn and Jared switched apartments of course. Moving day X3!!! For three days straight I helped Glenn and Jared move out of their three bedroom apartment at Carmel to their new two bedroom apartment across the street in Jamboree. A long hard move that ended well. The apartment looks great!
During the next week, only about three days after they officially moved in, Glenn and Jared had a small 4th of July BBQ in the new place. Hot dogs, burgers, watermelon balls and all. While most everyone enjoyed some time after dinner at the apartment pool and then fireworks at Quakes stadium, Glenn, the brothers and their family came over to watch fireworks on TV and eat some BBQ. It was nice to see the whole family together enjoying themselves. The next day I got a haircut because it was past due time. She did an alright job cutting my hair but not nearly short enough.

That weekend was another busy one. I helped my dad do some photography for a wedding at Laguna Niguel on the 7th of July and then Travis and Maria were married on the 8th, my 3rd wedding in two weeks time! Another beautiful wedding and plenty of fun.

On the 14th of July we all got together and went to see Transformers. AMAZING!! That was such a great movie! I rarely come out of movies that are 2-3 hours long and absolutely love them. Go see it if you haven't already or even if you already did! I would totally go and see it again! I think there were about 10 or 11 of us that went! Glenn and I, Michael, Jason, Kaitlin, Jared, Mike, Jenn, Mike N., JC and DJ...always lots of fun especially when you do Denny's afterwards!
My sister turned 20 this year on the 16th and so I decided that she needed a good break from work, as did I, and surprised her by taking her to the Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa! My mom didn't want to come but got my sister an hour long massage and we spent the day lazing around the different pools, spreading red clay all over ourselves and playing cards. Good times! I love my sister! We came home to what was supposed to be a semi-surprise party for my sister (being as I wasn't going to tell her that there was a party for her) but my mom accidentally blew the lid off of that the night before. So we came home to a family BBQ which turned out pretty good. Nice to get the family together in our backyard again.

That weekend I took my CSET (California S Educational Testing) and prayed that I did alright on it! I went to see Glenn after my 5 hour long test (no joke!) and he took me to IKEA because I had never been before. We ended up stuck in Covina for a while after realizing that Glenn's poor truck had been abused! The front right tire was missing 4 out of the 6 lug nuts holding that tire on and it was shaking so badly we couldn't drive her home! Thanks to Glenn's dad and AAA we got towed to his Glendora home safely. Lemar and Chaltu got married on the 22nd and had a beautiful wedding all outdoors and had perfect weather! It was cloudy and overcast but didn't rain. A nice change from such hot summer weather lately.
My sister is happier than ever since she just got her braces off on the 23rd. She's so cute!! She came home with the hugest of smiles!! So exciting! Then on the 25th I took the afternoon off and went down to the San Onofre State Beach with my sister. I went surfing for the very first time!! It was so cool! I've always wanted to go surfing but I guess I never really have had the chance to go! The one time I did have a chance to learn was in Majuro on the coral reef which was a bad idea. After seeing several of the experienced surfer guys come back for a day on the reef with gashes across their heads I decided that wasn't the best place for me to learn. I was right. After doing s few hours of surfing, I came home a little scratched and bruised up. Nothing to really complain about because I had a blast and I even got up a few times! So much fun and something I am totally ready to do more of every chance I get.
Friday the 27th was quite a day. It was Michael's 23rd birthday!! Glenn and Michael were going to spend the day working on Glenn's truck, fixing up the tire and getting new lug nuts, spacers and stuff to fix it all up. So Glenn's truck got fixed up pretty well, then we hung out at Glenn's house in Glendora for a bit before heading back to Glenn and Jared's apartment to hang out a bit.
Saturday night was Glenn and Jared's house warming party which turned out great! If you weren't there, you really missed out! So much was going on, Xbox games, Wii games, Apples to Apples, watching Hell's Kitchen and So You Think You Can Dance, Catch Phrase, pizza, chocolate fountain and great company! It was quite a bit of fun.

My grandpa has been fighting cancer for quite awhile now but was doing well for a good long while. He went through Chemotherapy and things seemed to be looking up. Then in his last few appointments his cancer cells have been back up and spreading, not looking good. The Chemo made my grandpa so sick the last time that he said he wouldn't do it again. He's 81 and not up for another fight. He's had all kinds of heart problems and other things going on the last few years, he's just so tired. Grandpa's a retired OBGYN doctor, stubborn as all get out and won't admit pain for anything. So Friday morning when he asked my mom to call his doctor for a house visit, we knew it must be pretty bad. The doctor gave him pain meds and antibiotics, even brought in oxygen tanks just in case. He slept a lot after than visit and we were told it wasn't to bad, just painful and he needed sleep. Today he's on oxygen and not seeming to be doing as well as Friday which really sucks but we'll see how tomorrow goes. Lots and lots of praying for my grandpa!

Kaits headed to Peru on Tuesday morning for her 10 month mission trip and man am I going to miss her! It's gonna suck not to just be able to call her up and chat for a bit! And then Glenn and I are going to Pantages theater next weekend on the 4th of August to see Wicked! I'm so excited!!!!!
